2. No Electronic Return Transmission (IRS MeF) & Draft Packet Status

Taxly runs locally on your computer and does not electronically transmit returns (IRS Modernized e-File / MeF) to the Internal Revenue Service or any state revenue agency. 3. AI Outputs & Taxpayer Verification Responsibility

Optional AI advisor explanations, document field extractions, and multi-agent review findings are automated aids that can make mistakes, hallucinate, or omit relevant tax rules. You are solely responsible for verifying every line item, calculation, and election against official IRS and state instructions before signing, mailing, or copying figures into an e-file portal.

4. State Tax Scope

Taxly provides a resident state worksheet for South Carolina (SC1040 worksheet, reference only) and beta reference calculators for 8 additional states. For unsupported states, Taxly explicitly reports state tax liability as unknown (never zero). You remain responsible for preparing and filing all required state and local tax returns.
